Jon & Mat have worked as a directing duo since 2010. Meeting as in-house producer/directors for American TV channel Current TV they secretly exhausted the companies resources by moonlighting a triumphant sideline in award winning short comedy films. The pair have since shot work for Volvo, Mazda, Allied Bakeries, Dyson, Marks & Spenser, GQ, Nokia and Three. Their Christmas Jumper Day viral video for Save the Children that won them a Silver Arrow at the British Arrows awards in 2013. Other awards include a Highly Commended at the Campaign Media Awards for a Renault viral whilst their savvy mockumentary short The Devil’s Apricot picked up the Picturehouse Cinema’s Best Pick award at the COFILMIC Festival. Their “cute kittens” Youtube campaign for Reed achieved the highest ever click through rate in the UK and was a finalist in the Brand Republic Digital awards 2014 whilst the hypnotic 20” commercial “Dream Tape” was The Drum “Ad of the day”.
Most recent credits include films for UFS Meadowland, KFC and Channel 4. Their short film Glasshole received over 75,000 views in the week it was posted on Youtube and has featured at a number of film festivals and screenings globally.
